Are you looking for a perfect way to balance your work and health? From my personal and commercial experiences, required balance is very much possible. The good news is that there is not much effort required to achieve this other than focus on the required result. This will not only increase your work performance but your overall health, family relations, and mental wellbeing.
It all starts from your home. You need to find out the small things, activities that makes you happy and meet other people more often. After a long working day, distress yourself by listening relaxing music, going out for a short walk with family, keeping away the distractions (phone, laptop), take dog for a stroll. Thinking a lot about work when at home is an indication that you are under immense pressure and leads to stress. Involve yourself in dinner/cooking arrangements, set the table and sit with the family during dinner time. Share your all-day experience, achievements what made you laugh, sad or any new acquaintances at work etc.
Key point is to love your work when at workplace and take short breaks to keep yourself away from the screen. Small activities such as making a cuppa for yourself and for your colleagues, walk from one desk to another, lunch break (go out even if you have your own meal and sit outside in an open environment). If at all, you are not able to cope with your daily work and are still unhappy then you are a strong analyser for yourself and it’s a time to change the job
Spend time with yourself and create positivity around you. Approach people, talk to them, laugh together, share your thoughts and most importantly never Give Up.
Think of these ideas and try to evaluate your condition. Find a way out of your problem and a healthy exit from the situation which makes you unhealthy!
